The Natural Perfume Academy (NPA) is dedicated to supporting natural perfumers, both graduates of the NPA program and trained artisans from other accredited courses. This certification is designed to validate your skills, adherence to ethical standards, and commitment to natural, sustainable perfumery practices.

Who This Certification Is For
- NPA Graduates: Those who have completed the NPA Diploma Program.
- Graduates from Accredited Programs: Trained perfumers from recognised courses, looking for official certification from NPA.
Certification Requirements
- Submission of Portfolio: Provide samples of your work that reflect your knowledge and skills in natural perfumery.
- Application and Assessment: Complete the application form, specifying your training and experience. This includes submitting documentation, if needed, to verify your background in natural perfumery.
- Adherence to Standards: Demonstrate alignment with NPA’s standards in ethical sourcing, sustainability, and natural ingredient use.
Certification Levels
NPA certification is available at various levels, reflecting the extent of adherence to natural and ethical standards:
- Green Certification: 95-100% natural and ethical practices.
- Amber Certification: 75-95% natural and ethical practices.
- Yellow Certification: 50-75% natural and ethical practices.
Each level comes with a digital badge for display on your website or products, signifying your commitment to natural and ethical practices.
Certification Fees
Standard Application Fee: €150
This fee covers the initial review process, certification issuance, and access to NPA resources, including community forums, educational content, and networking opportunities.Annual Renewal Fee: €150
This is an optional licensing fee for badge use, continued listing as a Certified Natural Perfumer on NPA’s site, and extended business support.
Important Notes for NPA Graduates
NPA Graduates who hold a diploma from the academy are granted lifetime access to core community resources, course material and continued recognition as NPA-certified without needing to renew their certification. However, to use the NPA certified badge on products, websites, or marketing materials, graduates can opt to pay the annual renewal fee, which includes:
- License for official badge usage in marketing
- Individual Perfumer and/or Natural Perfumery Business listing on NPA’s website as a certified perfumer
- Extended business support: exclusive webinars, consultation, automatic acceptance to competitions and guidance on marketing and branding as needed.
